There’s never been a time when your OBX community and national parks need your support more than now.
The good news is, you can choose how you give back and we hope you’ll join us today as we rally to support your parks, and our OBX community.
Today is Giving Tuesday Now, a global movement to create a wave of generosity in our community – whether OBX is your home, or your home away from home.
We’ve put together a few ideas for you that you can do today from wherever you are.
Sign Up to Volunteer
As we navigate this summer alongside your parks, volunteers will be a vital piece of the puzzle so that we can protect and enhance these special places.
- If you’re interested in volunteering with Outer Banks Forever or your OBX national parks, click here to sign up for our volunteer list and we’ll keep you up to date on both virtual and in-person opportunities.
- If you’re a budding or professional artist, we’d love to feature your stories and work this summer inspired by your OBX national parks! Reply back to this email or use the hashtag #obxforever on social media to join our supporter network.
Support Your Favorite OBX Business
Even if you can’t visit your favorite OBX businesses right now, here are a few ways you can support them:
- Write an online review – Google, Facebook, Yelp – if you go there for advice on where to eat, shop, play in OBX then others do to! Take a few minutes to write a positive review for your favorite businesses that will help them as they reopen.
- Buy a gift card or shop online – many of our local retailers will let you purchase gift cards to use the next time you’re here, or check out their online shops like our friends at REAL Watersports and Ocean Atlantic Rentals.
Support Your OBX National Parks
If you are able, consider setting up a $10 a month gift today to show your love for your parks all year long. You’ll not only join our new community of founding supporters, your gift will allow us to meet your parks ever changing needs. Needs like new ways to experience your parks safely (webcams, new walking paths), new ways to expand our education offerings, and other needs as they arise this summer.
Thank you for being a part of our community. We’re in this together and can’t wait to welcome you back to your parks!
